SORASO Expands into the African Market at DITP Event in Kenya, Generating Over THB 165 Million in First-Day Trade Value
On April 5, Smart Finder Co., Ltd., led by Mr. James Weerapan Intason, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), introduced the SORASO platform at the Business Matching event organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in Nairobi, Kenya. The initiative aims to expand business opportunities into the African market.
The event achieved outstanding success on its first day, with over 73 Kenyan companies participating and generating a total trade negotiation value exceeding THB 165 million. This highlights the strong demand for Thai digital businesses, particularly software solutions, in emerging markets across Africa.
Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP, stated that the initiative aligns with the Ministry of Commerce’s policy to support Thai entrepreneurs—especially service providers and SMEs—in expanding internationally. This effort also helps mitigate the impact of global economic uncertainties, including geopolitical tensions and economic slowdown.
DITP brought 14 Thai companies from the software and related services sectors to engage with Kenyan partners. Key areas of interest included hotel management software, AI-driven marketing solutions, and smart waste management systems.
SORASO’s participation marks a significant milestone for Smart Finder in its global expansion strategy, reinforcing its vision to deliver Thai technology solutions to high-growth markets, particularly in Africa.
The strong response from the first day also indicates promising opportunities for long-term business partnerships, further strengthening Thailand’s digital ecosystem on the global stage.
